Padilla Triangular Cups

A set of 4 stoneware mugs, each triangular in section, with a single open handle cut like a window. The clay is speckled and cream-coloured, and at the rim the glaze runs down in drips of lilac, blue and amber, as if the colour had been left to settle on its own. They stack neatly, one into the next.

Handmade in Mexico by Rodolfo Padilla and signed on the base. Likely 1970s–80s.
