Brutalist Brass Candleholder, Harjes

A heavy, hand-cast candleholder in solid brass, shaped like a single curved gesture. Two flared cups rise from a twisting base that grows out of the table and settles back into itself. The surface is rough where it was cast and soft where it has been handled, with a warm patina that has built up over decades.

Stamped on the underside with a maker’s mark. Designed by Michael Harjes, Germany, 1960s–70s.
